Frequently asked questions
Find clear information about using Aerise tents in rain, wind or snow. Learn more about set-up times and the anchoring required in windy conditions.
-
Is the Aerise inflatable tent waterproof?
Yes! Waterproof fabric, covered zippers and sealed seams ensure both water tightness and wind resistance for your inflatable tent.
-
What Wind Loads Can Inflatable Tents Withstand?
With correct and proper anchoring, depending on the size, our tents are wind resistant up to 60 km/h; tested and verified in a professional wind tunnel. The table below shows the minimum required weight per tent foot to secure your inflatable tent in strong winds.

How quickly can an Aerise tent be set up as rain protection or a covered area?
The time required to set up an Aerise inflatable tent depends on its size and on the type of pump used. With the electric air tent pump, the set-up time is:
- 3x3 m tent: 2 to 3 minutes
- 4x4 m tent: 3 to 5 minutes
- 5x5 m tent: 7 to 10 minutes
- 6x6 m tent: 10 to 15 minutes
-
Can an inflatable tent be adapted flexibly to changing weather conditions?
Yes. Sidewalls and floors can be attached quickly and easily using zips and the eyelet system, allowing the tent to be adapted to each specific use. If wind picks up, the Aerise tent can be secured to the ground with the fastening kit or stabilised with water ballasts.
-
Is an Aerise tent also suitable for winter use?
Yes. Thanks to the dome shape of the tent, snow can slide off the roof more easily instead of accumulating on top. Nevertheless, during heavy snowfall, we recommend dismantling and storing the tent when it is not in use.
