Pirontex®

Exclusive premium-quality tent fabric

The most sustainable textile in the event industry – and arguably one of the most durable. Pirontex®, developed by Zingerle Group, the parent company of the Aerise brand, is engineered for strength in every fibre. Its robust structure withstands long-term exposure to weather and wear.

During the development of Pirontex®, a conscious decision was made to avoid the conventional dyeing methods widely used in the textile industry, as these have a significant environmental impact. Instead, an innovative production process was chosen to keep emissions as low as possible.

For the world of tomorrow

Innovative Technologies

The fabric is woven directly from coloured yarns, rather than being dyed afterwards using chemical solutions. This process saves:

CO₂

60% less CO₂ emissions

Water

80% less water consumption

Energy

50% less energy usage

Durability

Reliable Material

Densely woven and treated with a special nanocoating, Pirontex® is waterproof and highly resistant to wear. It maintains its performance even under frequent exposure to:

  • dirt

  • oil

  • cleaning chemicals

The robust weave prevents abrasion and stops wind from penetrating the roof or sidewalls of the inflatable tent. This is particularly crucial in emergency situations: Pirontex® is classified as fire-retardant according to DIN EN 13501-1.

Elasticity

Adaptive Fabric

The double-spun 600 DEN yarn used to produce Pirontex® plays a key role in the material’s strength. It provides significantly greater elasticity compared to other fabrics, increasing tear resistance and extending the lifespan of the material.

The textile adapts flexibly to the form and structure of the inflatable tent, reducing wear and ensuring reliable long-term performance.

Colour Fastness

Vibrant Shades

The material is highly resistant to environmental influences. Because the fibres are dyed through to the core, Pirontex® retains its original colour even under heavy use, high stress, moisture and strong UV exposure. With an exceptionally high light fastness rating (7–8 out of a maximum of 8), Pirontex® ensures excellent long-term results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about the Solution Dyeing process, as well as the certifications and performance characteristics of Pirontex®.

  • What is the dyeing process used to produce Pirontex®, and how does it work?

Pirontex® is produced from recycled plastic mixed with colour pigments before being spun into yarn. This dyeing method, called Solution Dyeing, ensures that the textile does not need to be dyed afterwards using chemical solutions. This process reduces the consumption of CO₂, water, and energy.

  • What colours is Pirontex® available in?

Our range includes 7 standard colours. On request, your inflatable tent can also be produced in custom colours.

  • Which certifications does Pirontex® have?

According to DIN EN ISO 105-B02 and DIN EN ISO 105-A02, Pirontex® achieves a very high blue wool scale rating (7–8 out of 8) and grey scale rating (4.5 out of 5). It is also classified as flame retardant under DIN EN 13501-1:2019 (fire rating B – s1, d0) and provides a UV protection factor of UPF 50+.

  • What Wind Loads Can Inflatable Tents Withstand?

The special nano-coating makes the fabric highly resistant to extreme weather conditions, allowing it to withstand wind speeds of up to 60 km/h.
