During the production of Pirontex®, a conscious decision was made to move away from traditional, environmentally harmful dyeing processes commonly used in the textile industry. Instead, an innovative method was adopted to keep emissions to an absolute minimum.

Reliable Material

Densely woven and treated with a special nanocoating, Pirontex® is waterproof and highly resistant to wear. Even with frequent exposure to substances such as:

oil
cleaning chemicals

The 600D yarn used to produce Pirontex®, together with its dense weave, prevents abrasion and stops water or wind from penetrating the roof or sidewalls of the inflatable tent. This is especially crucial in emergency situations: Pirontex® is classified as fire-retardant according to DIN EN 13501-1.

The 600D yarn used to produce Pirontex® is key to the fabric’s strength and durability. It provides significantly greater elasticity compared to other materials, enhancing both tear resistance and longevity.

The material flexibly adapts to the shape and structure of the inflatable tent, reducing wear and ensuring reliable performance for many years.

Not only is the material itself highly resistant to environmental factors, but thanks to the deep-dyeing process that colours every fiber, Pirontex® retains its original hue even under frequent use, heavy stress, moisture, and strong UV exposure. With an exceptionally high lightfastness rating (7–8 out of a maximum of 8), Pirontex® guarantees excellent long-term performance.

What is the dyeing process used to produce Pirontex®, and how does it work?

Pirontex® is made from recycled plastic mixed with color pigments before being spun into yarn. This dyeing method, known as Solution Dyeing, ensures that the fabric does not need to be dyed afterward with chemical solutions. The production process significantly reduces the use of CO₂, water, and energy.
What colors is Pirontex® available in?

The range includes 7 standard colors. On request, your inflatable tent can also be produced in custom colors.

Which certifications does Pirontex® have?

According to DIN EN ISO 105-B02 and DIN EN ISO 105-A02, Pirontex® achieves a very high blue wool scale rating (7–8 out of 8) and gray scale rating (4.5 out of 5). It is also classified as flame retardant under DIN EN 13501-1:2019 (fire rating B – s2, d0) and offers a UV protection factor of UPF 50+.
